1. Procure only information technology that implements free and open standards;
2. Deliver e-government services based exclusively on free and open standards;
3. Use only free and open digital standards in their own activities.

At time of writing, almost 300 people have signed up as supporters of the Digital Standards Organization. Their names will all be printed on the Hague Declaration, which will be printed onto paper in four copies, and signed by those present at the signing ceremony. Two copies will be kept for archival purposes and two will be auctioned at a later date to raise funds for the work of the Digital Standards Organization.
